Impact of the war:

The war in Ukraine has led to a decrease in both production and exports due to:

*Disrupted supply chains.

*Occupied territory and destroyed infrastructure.

*Restrictions on exports through the Black Sea.

Future outlook:

Some sources predict that Ukraine's wheat production may increase in the coming years as the war subsides and conditions improve, but the extent of the impact on production will depend on the duration and intensity of the conflict.

Most Ukraine-based trade sources estimate the country’s crop output for the 2025/26 marketing year to be up from the previous year, with a significant increase expected for corn, while barley and wheat crops are forecast to be largely unchanged from 2024/25, Fastmarkets heard. See more.
