Two important institutions in Turkey's milling and seed industry came together to discuss common goals. DESMÜD President Zeki Demirtaşoğlu visited TÜRKTOB Board Chairman Hacı Ömer Güler at his office to discuss current developments in the sector and ongoing projects.
The visit focused particularly on the planned establishment of the Milling, Bread, Pasta, and Biscuit Education Centre in Ankara. President Demirtaşoğlu highlighted the centre's strategic importance in terms of contributing to the sector, attracting young people to the industry, and facilitating knowledge transfer.
This centre is seen as one of the important investments for the future in terms of training the qualified workforce needed by the sector and increasing knowledge sharing.
TÜRKTOB, the highest professional organisation in the Turkish seed sector, guides the development of seed production in our country with its seven sub-unions (BİSAB, FÜAB, FİDEBİRLİK, SÜSBİR, TODAB, TSÜAB, TYAB). The synergy provided by these structures was also discussed during the meeting. This meeting between DESMÜD and TÜRKTOB is seen as a step towards strengthening inter-sectoral cooperation and laying the groundwork for joint projects.
