GFMM desk: Government Trading Company Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is selling three essential commodities on the occasion of Holy Ramadan. The program has been launched across the country including Dhaka on Wednesday (April 1, 2020).
TCB said in a notification on Tuesday (March 31, 2020) that they would sell sugar at Tk. 50 per kg, lentils at Tk. 50 per kg and soybean oil at Tk. 80 per liter. Sugar is now sold in the market at Tk. 65-70, thick and medium grains of lentils at Tk. 70-80 and bottled soybean oil at Tk. 100-108.
These products will be available 50 in Dhaka, 16 in Chittagong, 10 in other divisional cities and 4 in district headquarters from traveling trucks. Each person can buy 5 kg sugar, 2 kg pulses and 5 liters of soybean oil. The program will run till May 20.
