WAYZATA, Minn., September 24, 2026 — Cargill has been named to the Fortune Change the World 2026 list for its efforts to support farmers and strengthen food system resilience through market access, financing, technical expertise, innovation and partnerships.

Fortune’s 12th annual Change the World list recognizes 50 companies tackling some of today’s toughest challenges and demonstrating how business can do well by doing good. Cargill was selected from roughly 200 candidates evaluated for the 2026 list.

“Farmers are the foundation of a strong and resilient food system,” said Roger Watchorn, leader of Cargill’s Agriculture and Trading business. “We support farmers by connecting them with markets, financing and technical expertise. Strong farms make our entire food system stronger, and this recognition reflects the important role farmers, partners and Cargill teams play across that system.”

Cargill works with more than 140,000 farmers who grow crops around the world, providing access to markets and offering services and solutions designed to support their businesses. Since 2017, Cargill has delivered more than 7.7 million farmer trainings globally, and since 2020, its regenerative agriculture programs have engaged 2.5 million acres across North America.

That support looks different depending on the farmer, market and supply chain. It includes supporting farmers in adopting regenerative agriculture practices, developing new markets for crops like winter camelina, and partnering with organizations like CARE to expand access to markets and financial resources for smallholder farmers and agricultural communities.

Cargill also partners with customers, research institutions, nongovernmental organizations and local partners to bring additional expertise and resources to farmers and agricultural communities. These efforts reflect a belief rooted in Cargill’s more than 160-year history: strong farms help build stronger food systems.
