GEAPS is accepting applications for the Kaufmann Memorial Scholarship and the Harold Reese Memorial Scholarship.
The deadline to apply for either scholarship is Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
Award recipients will be announced on GEAPS' social media channels and in an upcoming In-Grain issue. Funds must be used for the 2025-26 academic year.
This scholarship, named after 1975-76 GEAPS president Henry Kaufmann, supports grain industry professionals seeking to eliminate language barriers in the workplace through second language learning. It can be used for tuition, books, fees, and other expenses at accredited institutions, including cultural immersion programs.
Applications are accepted each spring and awarded in the summer. Full-time college students who are looking to enter the grain industry are also encouraged to apply. Preference is given to those with clear career goals and a strong case for their proposed course of study.
Harold Reese Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship, named after Harold Reese, who served as GEAPS’ president in 1995-96, is open to industry professionals and students. This scholarship provides financial assistance to participants in the GEAPS Training and Education program, and to students at other schools studying grain-related fields. The scholarship is named after.
Scholarships will be awarded based on qualifications and paid directly to educational institutions accredited by the United States Department of Education. They may only be used for tuition and books.
