Pakistan Flower Mills Association has announced a strike from June 24

The PFMA chairman said flour mills across the country would be closed from June 24 and would go on strike indefinitely from June 30 against the turnover and sales tax paid by the government. Mr. Asim Raza Ahmed also called on the government to withdraw the 17 per cent choker tax on wheat. Here it is pertinently stated that there will be an initial two-day strike. If bran tax is imposed on flour, it is expected that the price of flour will increase by Rs 5 per kg. Source: Online/KSU
