Distribution of seeds and fertilizers among farmers in Bhola and Narail

To support rabi crop cultivation, seed fertilizers have been distributed to farmers in Narail and Bhola. Free seeds and chemical fertilizers have been distributed among 3700 small and marginal farmers in Daulatkhan Upazila of the district.

These seeds and fertilizers are distributed to increase the production of wheat, maize, mustard, sunflower, groundnut, mung and Kesari under the agricultural incentive program during the Rabi season of the 2022-23 financial year.

Ali Azam Mukul, Member of Parliament of Bhola-2 Constituency, distributed these materials as the chief guest in the event organized at the Upazila Parishad hall last Monday (November 28, 2022).

Daulatkhan Upazila Administration and Agriculture Extension Department jointly organized this event.

Chairman of Daulatkhan Upazila Parishad Md Manjurul Alam Khan, Municipal Mayor Zakir Hossain Talukdar, Upazila Agriculture Officer Humaira Siddika and others were present in the event under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Additional Duty) Md Tauhidul Islam.

In the event, each farmer was given these seeds and fertilizers in favor of one bigha of land. Among them, seeds total 22.17 metric tons, MOP fertilizer 30.425 metric tons and DAP fertilizer 38.75 metric tons.


In Narail district, on November 27, 2022, the distribution program of improved varieties of rice seeds and fertilizers was inaugurated among the farmers free of cost.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habibur Rahman inaugurated this program organized by the Upazila Agriculture Office at the Upazila Parishad premises.

Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Sadia Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Rokonuzzaman and others spoke on the occasion under the chairmanship of Deputy Director of District Agriculture Extension Department Deepak Kumar Roy. At that time, the beneficiaries including those related to the Department of Agriculture were present.

According to the Agriculture Department, seeds of advanced varieties will be distributed among 10 thousand of farmers, and seeds and fertilizer of Ufsi varieties will be distributed among 12 thousand of farmers.

Each farmer will be given 5 kg of Ufshi variety rice seeds, 10 kg of DAP, 10 kg of MOP fertilizer and 2 kg of hybrid rice seeds.
