The Dhaka region qualifying round of ‘Bangladesh Protein Cooking Challenge-2026’ was held in Dhaka with the aim of increasing nutrition awareness and developing healthy protein-rich eating habits across the country. The day-long competition was successfully held at the BPICC office in Dhaka on Saturday, 22 August 2026, under the joint initiative of Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council (BPICC) and U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC).
Out of the more than 100 contestants registered in the Dhaka round, 60 contestants participated directly. The jury consisting of internationally renowned chef Tony Khan, culinary expert Rahima Sultana Rita and nutritionist Ishrat Jahan selected the top 8 for the final grand final.

1. Champion: Suriya Parveen
2. First runner-up: Sazia Ferdous
3. Second runner-up: Saleha Shampa
4. 4th place: Farhana Akhter Nipa
5. 5th place: Abu Abdullah Md. Siam
6. 6th place: Nahid Hasan
7. 7th place: Razia Sultana
8. 8th place: Khandaker Farzana Yasmin
A total of 20 contestants, including 12 from the already completed Sylhet and Khulna regions and the top 8 from the Dhaka phase, will compete in the national final ‘Grand Final’ held in Dhaka.
The competition, organized under the theme ‘Nourish your plate with Protein’, involved preparing delicious and nutritious recipes using chicken, eggs and soybeans. The grand finale will be held in Dhaka soon to ensure affordable sources of protein in the daily diet.
