Last Saturday (January 23, 2012), the senior information officer of the food ministry confirmed the matter. He said, "Previously, there was an obligation to open a letter of credit (LC) within a week to allow the import of rice at the private level." As a result of increasing it, the allotted institution is now getting time till January 31. ' Recently, the government has approved the import of 91,000 tons of new rice at the private level to control the rice market. 63 companies get this approval.
