The company has recently completed a 720 TPD flour mill project in Central Africa, as another important reference not only in the region, also on a global scale. After the first 300 TPD flour mill built by Imas in 2021, and the second 160 TPD flour mill in 2024, the new 720 TPD flour mill has been operative since September 2026. In other words, Imas has managed to build a total project capacity of 1.180 TPD for the same customer.
Project Details
The new mill represents a significant addition to the region’s grain processing infrastructure with its 238.000 tons annual wheat processing capacity. The milling section of the plant is designed as a single unit, which consists of 36 roller mill machines, 6 pieces of eight section plansifters, and 8 pieces of single deck purifiers. The greenfield project was completed by Imas on a turnkey basis including engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning services. Not only the milling machinery and automation system, also the steel construction mill building was designed, manufactured, and built by Imas.
Automation Technology
The flour mill is managed via an end-to-end automation system, starting from the wheat intake to flour packaging. The fully integrated automation architecture enables centralized plant management, also enhances operational efficiency and traceability. The automation system has also comprehensive reporting features including the real time production amount, yield, and consumption data etc. of the plant. The systems also allows Imas after-sales team to connect to the plant remotely at any time for troubleshooting, technical assistance, and check-up.
