Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has said that the price of edible oil will not go up till February 6. He made the remarks after a meeting with edible oil traders at the ministry's meeting room in the secretariat on Wednesday (January 19, 2022) morning. "After February 6, it will be decided whether the price will go up or down," he said. Mentioning that he has requested the traders to give some time, he said, "We will sit on the next 6th, which means after 16 days, if there is a need to increase the price, it will increase." Reduce if needed. He said that considering everything, whatever is convenient will be done. The Commerce Minister said that the traders themselves had raised some prices without informing us. That too they (businessmen) have said that they will consider. At present, bottled soybean oil is being sold at Tk 160 per liter and open soybean oil at Tk 136 per liter. |Source: Online/SZK
