Abu Bakar Shahed has been elected as the new president of
Junior Chamber International (JCI) Chittagong Cosmopolitan, an organization of
young entrepreneurs. Last Friday (February 11, 2022) at a ceremony at the
Radisson Blue Hotel in Chittagong, he was handed over the responsibility by
handing over the chain.
Abu Bakar Shahed, the new president of JCI, is the founder
of the red carpet event management company. He is the leader and lead vocalist
Teerondaz Band.
Mohammad Ismail was elected General Secretary, Mohammad
Jalal Hossain Executive Vice President, Mir Mohammad Nasir, Ashraf Uddin and
Ayaz Islam Chowdhury Vice Presidents, SM Ishtiaqur Rahman Local Training
Officer, Raju Ahmed General Legal Counselor and Junaid Ahmed Treasurer.
Besides, the elected directors are Md. Abu Tayyab, Mohammad Moin Uddin, Md.
Mohsin, Md. Amjad Hossain, Ishtiaq Alam Chowdhury, Shahab Uddin Chowdhury and
Omar Ali.
MP Moslem Uddin Ahmed, reserved women MP Khadijatul Anwar,
Chittagong Port Chairman Rear Admiral Mohammad Shahjahan, Chittagong Chamber
President Mahbubul Alam and musician Perth Barua spoke on the occasion. The
keynote address was delivered by Niaz Morshed, Outgoing President of Junior
Chamber Bangladesh.
Former presidents of the Junior Chamber since 2013 were
honored with crests at the ceremony. They are Niaz Morshed, Raisul Uddin
Saikat, Shihab Malik, Jasim Ahmed, Gias Uddin, Mashfiq Ahmed, Asim Kumar Das,
Shahidul Mostafa Chowdhury and Tipu Sultan Sikder.
