It started last Thursday (April 30, 2020). The trade was closed for so many days due to the lockdown. With this, the importers and exporters of the two countries were demanding to start trade. The problem was that due to the lockdown, the cargo trucks of the two countries would come and unload and unload the goods. However, these import-export goods were loaded and unloaded in the parking lots at the Petrapole and Benapole borders of both the countries. Before the lockdown, import and export products of both the countries were unloaded there. But due to the corona, the parking lot of the freight trucks of the two countries was closed. Finally, in the face of demands from the importers and exporters of the two countries, the Central Government of India and the Government of Bangladesh finally decided to complete the unloading and unloading of import and export goods from trucks at the Petrapole-Benapole border at Zero Point or No-Man's Land. To that end, import-export trade between India and Bangladesh has started at No-Man's Land on the Benapole-Petrapole border from noon on Thursday. In the presence of clearing agents of both the countries, India's import-export trade with Bangladesh began. Source: Online/SZK
