Desk Report: The country's largest jute mill, Crescent Jute Mills, in Khulna, saw profit making by laminating jute bags. Other units have been lost year after year. Mill's fate has now returned from the premium lamination plant (PLP).
Mill authorities said that in July of 2018, the construction of jute lamination bags was started, but commercial production went to August. 30 to 35 workers trained in this unit are working. Made by laminating on the Heshian sackcloth through PLP machines this bag are particularly suitable for the protection of agricultural seeds. The price of 10 kg baggage has been fixed at 51 and 20 kg to Bd. Taka 61. In the meantime, the unit has produced about 3 lakh pieces of lamination bag.

The Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) took 1,552,000 in the first phase and ordered 1,40,000 pieces in the second phase.
Not only the bag, Sliver Can Sheet can be made in the PLP plant. These jute mills are used in cotton yarn. The Mill Canal can be sold outside of the demand of nine jute mills in Khulna and Jessore regions, said Mill Authority. Golam Rasul Rakib, deputy manager (production) and PLP unit in charge of Crescent Jute Mills, said, "Water cannot enter the production of laminated bags. Product quality is also good. As a result, this lamination bag is very suitable for wheat and rice seeds, sugar, fish feed, poultry feed, fertilizer, flour and pesticides.

General manager of the mill Gazi Shahadat Hossain said that despite all the losses due to the BJMC's other products, the plant has been benefited by selling lamination bags produced in this plant. Work is going to finalize how much money has been received in the first phase. But the order is not available according to the production capability. So, various initiatives have been taken to promote the quality of bags to increase sales.
