The Drum Sieve is used for pre-cleaning granular and powder products. In many industrial facilities such as grain storage, flour, pulse, and feed plants, unwanted materials such as stalks, straws, wood chips, corn cob pieces, garbage, paper, bags, etc. are separated and exited from the end of the drum. This way, it protects conveyance operations from machine equipment malfunctions and damages. The products are fed into the continuously rotating drum. The products then pass through sieve holes ranging from 10 to 80mm and fall at the outlet. The sieve holes clean themselves during sieving via wooden rollers. Coarse wastes that cannot pass through the sieve holes are directed to the outlet at the end of the drum with the help of a guide screw.
The following points are to be known for drum sieve maintenance:
1. The screen barrel shall be kept flexible and shall not move in series along the axial direction.
2. The reducer shall be lubricated regularly, and the lubricating oil shall be gear oil. The lubricating oil shall be changed once half a month after the new machine works, and then it shall be changed every six months.
3. The main engine bearing shall be replaced with lithium grease every six months.
4. The transmission chain shall be lubricated with oil once a month.
5. Under normal working conditions, the oil temperature of the worm gear reducer should not exceed 70 ℃. If the temperature rises too high or there is abnormal noise,
6. Stop the machine immediately for an inspection. If the worm gear, worm, and bearing are seriously worn, they should be replaced.
7. If the clearance of the worm shaft tapered ball bearing increases, the end cover should be removed and the green shell paper pad should be removed.
8. When the screen cylinder and cleaning brush are worn out and cannot work normally, they should be replaced immediately.
9. The impurities on the screen cylinder and main shaft must be cleaned once a week.
10. Do a good job in cleaning before and after work.
