Mr. Marcelo Carlos Sesa, Ambassador of Argentina to Bangladesh visited the headquarters of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI). On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Director General Dr. Md., Shahjahan Kabir welcomed the ambassador. Later, the ambassador met senior scientists and officials of BRRI in an exchange meeting.
The Director General of Bri presided over the exchange meeting held in the meeting room of the BRRI training building in Gazipur. In the meeting, a PowerPoint presentation about the achievements and progress of BRRI, CSO, and Head of Plant Breeding Department Dr. Khondkar Md. Iftekharuddaula.
At this time, the Ambassador of Argentina appreciated Bri's current activities, success, and role of BRRI in ensuring the food security of the country.
After the exchange meeting, the visiting delegation visited BRRI's Central Laboratory, Gene Bank, and Rice Museum.
