Today 10 March, MIDA (Malaysian Investment Development Authority) team together with our MOU partner ie CCC ECRL Managing Director, Mr Bai Yinzhan had a discussion with the Malaysia Rail Link (MRL) CEO, Datuk Seri Darwis Abdul Razak and the Malaysia-China Business Council directors, Tan Sri Tan Kean Soon and Datuk Lim Thean Shiang on the promotion and facilitation of the Economic Accelerator Projects (EAP) with the objective to spur economic activities along the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) Corridor from Kota Bharu in Kelantan to Port Klang in Selangor.
The EAP includes 3 main components:
(1) the development of industrial parks in the East Coast and West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia that will house investments in manufacturing and commercial projects.
(2) the establishment of logistics hubs at transport interchanges to facilitate connectivity and transportation of cargoes and passengers.
(3) the development of transit-oriented development (TOD) stations to promote new townships to support the growth of the industrial parks.
