Bread or rice - which is healthier for us?

Bengali in fish-rice. If fish-rice are not, the stomach of Bengalis is not full. Besides rice, bread is also a Bengali food. Both rice and bread are used to make the delicacies on the daily menu.

Weight loss will be followed by fatigue and constant tiredness. But rice and bread are on our menu in such a way that it is difficult to exclude them.

However, a question arises, which of the two food items is more useful to keep the body fit.

Bread is made from wheat flour. Rice is prepared by grinding paddy removing husk. Many people say that they omit rice on the pretext of accumulating excess body fat. Again, many health experts say that rice is a lighter food than bread. For this reason, rice should be chosen. However, the truth is that both foods have almost the same effect on the body.

Some of the dietary features of both are:

Rice and bread have similar carbohydrate and calorie values.

Rice and bread have the same glycemic index. Which means it's about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well.

Rice and bread contain the same amount of iron.

Despite the similarities, there are differences in the nutritional value of rice and bread.

Bread has higher levels of dietary fiber than rice. So it keeps the stomach full for a long time.

Rice contains more starch. So easy to digest.

Rice provides higher levels of folate, i.e. water-soluble vitamin B, than bread.

Bread is rich in most minerals like potassium, magnesium, sodium, protein and calcium.

Observing all the ingredients present in both the items, bread can be said to be more effective in weight control. However, the various health benefits of rice cannot be ruled out. That is, both are key to a healthy diet. So, there is no need for one to omit the other. You can take both rice and bread in limited quantities if you wish. But when it comes to price, flour is definitely cheaper than rice.
