CHATTOGRAM, Feb 23, 2026 - The weekly tea sale in Chattogram saw strong demand and support from blenders. Good liquoring varieties were popular among buyers and sold at firm to slightly higher prices. Blenders were active in the market, with some support from loose tea buyers. Good liquoring dusts also sold well.
CTC LEAF: 22,299 packages of tea on offer met with a good demand.
BROKENS: A small weight of good liquoring Brokens was again a strong market and was mostly firm. Medium varieties met with a good demand and were firm to slightly dearer. Plainer types met with less demand and tended to be easier with more withdrawals. BLF teas once again met with a strong demand and were fully firm.
FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings were again a strong market and mostly sold at around the last levels. Medium varieties also met with a good demand and were mostly firm to occasionally dearer. Plainer types met with less demand and tended to be easier with more withdrawals. BLF teas once again met with a strong demand and were fully firm.
DUST: 4,216 packages of tea on offer met with a fair demand. Some good liquoring teas met with a good demand and sold at around the same levels. Media was an easier market, Tk. 5/- to Tk.8/- above last levels. Plain and BLFs were in less demand and had more withdrawals than last. Blenders lent strong support with fair interest from the loose tea buyers.
