The agricultural sector is making a significant contribution to the national economy. Basically Bangladesh is an agricultural country. Agriculture is the main livelihood of most of the people in this country. The production of agricultural products in the agricultural sector in the country has increased many times more than before.
The educated youth of the country have come forward in the agricultural sector. In this they have found a way to become self-reliant.
Some of the youth are involved in fisheries, poultry and dairy industries. The Corona epidemic has devastated entire agricultural sector. The poultry industry is currently facing destruction. During the Corona period, the poultry industry collapsed. During the Corona period, farmers shut down farms due to complications in the production of chickens and the sale of chickens in the market. As a result, the farmers face financial loss. Thousands of poultry farmers across the country have closed their farms, raising the price of chicken in the market.
Farmers are not able to start new farms due to financial crisis. The same is true of the dairy industry. The farmers have lost their livelihood as they could not sell the milk produced during the Corona period. Meanwhile, due to the crisis of cattle feed, price rise and crisis of emergency medicines, the farmers are suffering due to the increase in prices. Many farms were forced to close down due to the loss. Currently, the country's dairy industry is in dire straits. Farmers say they will be able to turn around if they get financial support. Ordinary farmers could not market their produce due to the impact of Corona on the country's agriculture.
As a result, they have faced financial losses. In short, the entire agricultural sector of the country has fallen into crisis due to Corona. If want to take this agricultural sector forward, have to take effective measures now. The budget that is being set for the next financial year should have a special allocation for the agricultural sector of the country. In order to develop agriculture, the farmers have to be directly assisted.
The agricultural sector has to be given special importance as compared to other sectors of the country. Because special initiatives have to be taken to continue the progress of the agricultural sector. The educated youth of the country should be encouraged to come forward in the field of agriculture. The government must come forward to enrich agriculture by providing them financial assistance.
